2021–22 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Title II: Adult Education Family Literacy Act (AEFLA)

Dear Adult Education Administrators:

The Final Expenditure Claim Report (ECR) module is now open and can be accessed through the Online Application and Reporting Site (reporting site). The Final ECR is due by Monday, August 1, 2022.

Please include all eligible reimbursements regardless of quarter, up to 100 percent of the award amount. Adjust the budget as needed to categorize expenditures accurately. Use the column within the ECR labeled “Budget” to update the budget object code; then move to the right to add expenditures for the last quarter of the year. For additional information and examples of how to update a budget, refer to item 8, Budget Revisions on page 3 of the document Completing an Expenditure Claim Report. This document is also available from the Resources section of the reporting site.

The Final ECR also includes a section for reporting the total amount of AEFLA and non-Federal funds expended on workforce training and infrastructure costs. Also note, non-federal expenditures to supplement the grant must be reported and are expected to be at 25 percent or higher of the grant award. These data are required for federal reporting. Please include as much of the expenditure information as is available.
