Dear Adult Education Administrator,

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Title II: Adult Education Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) 2021–22

Grant Award Notifications (GAN) are now available to download through the Adult Education Online Application and Reporting website (reporting site). Read all the directions on the GAN section of the reporting site to ensure you have met the appropriate signatures and date requirements. Please note, a wet ink signature is required. Unfortunately, this document may not be signed electronically. Upload and return the signed document electronically via the reporting site by August 20, 2020 then mail the original. Adult Education Office staff will review the uploaded file before providing access to the Budget Worksheet. We recommend to be proactive by preparing your budget outside the application. The Budget Instructions are available in PDF format through the Budget and Claim section of the reporting site.

NOTE: If your GAN includes section 243 funding and you do not plan to offer a 243 compliant program in the 2021–22, we request that this funding be declined. Do not sign your GAN and contact your California Department of Education (CDE) Fiscal Analyst to request an amendment.

The transition to the new login system was successful! In order to access the GAN, users will need to use their new login and create a password. Welcome emails were sent earlier today with information on how to do this. The password link the email you received is specific to your email address so please do not forward to others in your agency. The reporting site is also known as the OAR. Your agency has set up at least one user to manager users within your agency and given the role of OAR Admin. If you do not know who was designated with this role within your agency you may contact your CDE Fiscal Analyst or refer to your submitted 2021–22 Inquiry. A User Guide is being created to assist OAR Admins with this activity. We hope to have this file posted before the end of the day tomorrow. Look for it in the Resources section of the reporting site.
